Reset Samsung Galaxy S4 to Factory Settings

If you want to take back your Samsung Galaxy S4 Android smartphone to factory settings because of any reason like you have forgotten security code of your device or its freezing then the guide below will help you to get rid of this situation easily.

Note: The process of reset Galaxy S4 to factory settings will wipe all data from SIM, so if your device is not locked then its better to backup data before proceeding.

Restoring Factory Settings on Samsung Galaxy S4

Step-1

In normal situation turn OFF your Galaxy S4 or if its frozen then remove and replace its battery

Step-2

Press and hold “Power” + “Volume Up” + “Home” buttons simultaneously until Android logo appears on screen, and then release buttons, unlock/reset menu will popup

Step-3

Scroll through options and select “wipe data/factory reset”. For scrolling use volume up/down buttons and to confirm selection use Power button

Step-4

Select “Yes – Delete All User Data”

Step-5

From the opened menu select “Reboot System Now” and let it reboot to factory settings
