Apple Announced Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 – New Features and Availability

Apple’s 26th WWDC started with some stats and figures announced by CEO Tim Cook. Apple announced their next OS X version 10.11 named as Mac OS X EI Capitan. This next operating system for Mac will be available to developers today and later available to download and upgrade for free this fall.

OS X EI Capitan New Features

New features coming to OS X EI Capitan are more about user experience and performance. OS X EI Capitan updated with ability to mutli-task and some new features in Mail app, Spotlight search, Safari browser and more. In OS X EI Capitan you will be able to mute tabs in Safari browsers as we can mute in Google Chrome. Spotlight functionality enhanced by add some more control to it that you can find sports scores, weather directly in spotlight, Introduced new Notes app, Improved Mission Control and more. Some performance enhancements as Apple said EI Capitan will open apps 1.4 times faster, PDF opening time is 4X faster and App switching is 2X faster and more.

OS X EI Capitan Availability

This new OS X 10.11 will be available as public beta release in July and you can join the Apple Beta program if you wanna download this bit earlier and final upgrade will be available this Fall.
