B2gdroid app for Android make it very easy to install Firefox OS on Android devices. According to the developer this will not work on x86 devices, B2gdroid is an ARM build.

Install Firefox OS on Android Device

  • Download Begdroid apk file on your Android device.
  • Go to your Android device settings and enable the option to install app from unknown sources. Reason to enable this option because B2gdroid is not available on Google Play Store and we have to download apk and install it manually.

Some users reported that they are getting errors and have Firefox OS crashed problem on their devices but on my Samsung Galaxy S5, i didn’t get any error but the launcher is not smooth and fluid. I would suggest you to reboot your device after installing and selecting Firefox OS as a default home launcher.

Restore Default Android Launcher

When you feel its time to load the default Android launcher on your device then got to Android Settings and then Application > Default Applications. Here select the Home and then choose the original TouchWiz home launcher. Now, enjoy the default Android launcher again.

This is seems to be a launcher, not an OS itself!

yes it is.
B2Gdroid is a launcher.
a basic learning of firefox environment.
before we decide to install (flash) firefox os, we can try it first without “destroying” our android with B2GDroid Launchers.

you shouldn’t advertise it as an OS if it is just a launcher. It is misleading, you are wasting people’s time.
