WhatsApp is most famous instant messaging app for smartphone devices. Recently its web version released in which you can use WhatsApp on you Windows or Mac browsers with QR code. You can’t use WhatsApp without logging into smartphones , you must logged in WhatsApp on your smartphone and have to maintain an active internet connection between computer and mobile phone.
Install WhatsApp on Windows or Mac
Now company officially released its dedicated version which support Windows 8, Windows 10 and Mac OS X. since the native version is available, it comes with better keyboard shortcuts and better support for notifications.
Similar to the WhatsApp web, WhatsApp PC and Mac version is still an extension to the mobile and sync with it. To us this application on Windows or Mac WhatsApp must be installed on your phone. Windows 8 and higher required. To setup WhatsApp on Windows or Mac OS X simply follow the instruction below.
- In the first step download and install the WhatsApp application from here for Windows or Mac depends on your machine.
- Now open QR scanner on WhatsApp from your smartphone, to do this open WhatsApp and tap on three dots located on top-right corner and select WhatsApp web from given list.
- Here we will see list of old logged in computers. In my case I have one logged-in computer, last active yesterday at 5:22PM. You can log-out from all the computers by taping on Log-out from all computers.
- To add new computer tap on + icon at top and scan the QR code on computer application that we installed on step-1 and you will logged-in on desktop. If you turn off mobile internet then you can’t use WhatsApp on web or desktop.
