Windows Phone 7 gives option to pin different things to Start screen of mobile phone like apps, contacts, web site, location, album etc. In following you will see how to pin different things to Start screen on Windows Phone 7 device.
Pin an App to Start
On “Start” screen, flick left to the App list
Then tap and hold the app that you want to pin, and tap “Pin to Start”
Pin a Contact to Start
On “Start”, tap “People” > “All”
Chose one of the following option for the contact which you have to pin:
Tap and hold the contact then tap “Pin to Start”
Or
Tap on the contact then tap “Pin”
Pin a Website to Start
Just open the website which you have to pin and tap “More” > “Pin to Start”
Pin a Location to Start
On “Start” screen, flick left to the “App” list > “Maps”
Type your required location, it will identify the location with a flag
Tap on that flag then tap “Pin”
Pin an Album to Start
On “Start”, flick left to the “App” list and tap “Music + Videos”
Tap “Zune” > “Music”
Tap on album that you have to pin, then tap and hold the album art, and tap “Pin to Start”
Note: To remove a tile from “Start”, just tap and hold it and tap “Unpin”.
