On October 22nd event Apple announced next iteration of iPad, with the name iPad Air, instead its traditional title which is iPad 5, according to its predecessor iPad 4. The iPad Air is lighter and thinner in comparison to the previous iPad, and comes with 9.7 inch retina display and a lot of other new improvements. iPad Air Specs
Weight: iPad Air is 28% lighter, 20% thinner and 24% less volume in comparison of iPad 4, and its weight is just 1 pound. iPad Air is compact and 43% slimmer than the previous iPad.
Display: New iPad Air has the same 9.7 inch Retina display like the previous generation iPad, with a 2048 x 1536 resolution, over 3.1 million pixels.
Processor: iPad Air is integrated with A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, the processor integrated to the iPhone 5S. The M7 motion coprocessor is also added to new iPad just as iPhone 5S have it.
iOS and Free Apps: iPad Air design is beautifully integrated with new iOS 7, and iOS 7 has ton of new great features like smarter multitasking, AirDrop, and Control Center. Apple is also giving a lot of free apps with iPad Air including iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
Wi-Fi: Ultra fast advanced Wi-Fi technology 802.11a/b/g/n and MIMO is integrated to iPad Air that makes Wi-Fi performance fast, twice than iPad 4.
Battery: Although, the iPad Air is powerful, as it has A7 chipset but still it is not power hungry and gives same great battery life of 10 hours.
Others: iPad Air also includes Bluetooth 4.0, support for more LTE bands, rear 5MP camera with FaceTime HD front-facing camera. Apple says iPad Air will be available in two models: Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular and in two colour options of space gray and silver.
