Step-2

First, backup your data from device, if anything went wrong then you can recover it from backup.

Step-3

To flash 4.2.2 firmware on Galaxy S4, make sure you have installed proper drivers for your phone. Most of the time Windows automatically install correct drivers for your device. If you have any trouble with the drivers, install Samsung Kies on your computer.

Step-4

Extract the downloaded odin and firmware zip files. Put odin .exe and firmware md5 files in one folder.

Step-5 Put Galaxy S4 into download mode

  • Power off you phone, press Volume down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously. Release the buttons when you see this Warning screen
  • Now press the Volume up button to go into download mode, you will see a big Android logo on the screen.

Step-6

Run Odin3 v3.09.exe file and connect Samsung Galaxy S4 to your computer using data cable.

When you connect your phone and see Added!! message in the Odin message area then you are good to flash Android 4.2.2 on Samsung Galaxy S4. If you don’t see the message then you have to check drivers for your device, or try original USB data cable, or restart your computer and try again.

You don’t need to change any other option here on Odin screen and just click the Start button to start flashing stock firmware on Samsung Galaxy S4 AT&T.
