In Mac OS X, Quick Time Player is the application used to watch media files, but it also facilitates to record personal movies, audios and screen recording through the built-in iSight camera.
In following we tell you the simple method that how you can record video on Mac using iSight camera and Quick Time Player application.
How to record video on Mac using built-in iSight Camera
Step 1
Launch Quick Time Player on system
Step 2
Now navigate through menu as File > New Movie Recording
Step 3
Click Red button to start movie recording
Click the Stop button when you want to stop
Step 4
Now click on File menu > Save As
Following screen will display, so set options for your file Where:
Save As: File name, Where: Location to save and Format: Select any according to your requirement and then click on Save button and that’s all

Yes, you can record movie using iMovie on Mac.
Run iMovie
Click on File Menu and select Import from Camera option. You can use your built-in iSight Camera to record video.
