  • this didn't work, after dialing only once and having the std recording: "your call cannot be completed as dialed", I checked the number dialed in call history, it was what you have here, so there was no reason to redial it. Instead i modified the number you show from *#*#4636#*#*, to the exact same thing but with *#*# at the end.
this time i did much better:
    "USSD code running..."
    followed by: Can't be completed.

Please update or correct the info you have here an dontact us, thx

  • well contacting again for above problem, sequence doesn't work on the samsung galaxy 3s.
is there a difference sequence for this phone with the current operating system?
And, very sorry for the last line in my original msg - I don't even know what it meant!

    • I have tested this on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and its working fine, would you please tell me exact model number of your phone and also Android version installed on it?

      • SGH-T999,
        version 4.3
        T999UVUEOH1: baseband version or something
        3.0.31- 1962493 = kernal version.
        JSS15J.T999UVUEOH1 build version
there's even more but I don't have a pencil to write it down so I'm doingall these entries by remembering them and typing them in here. (Yahoo? ...nope) that's why you can always catch me saying Androids suck, that means they're screwy. And if you don't believe me, try dialing *#*#4636#*#*

      • *#*#4636#*#*ou're absolutely right, except for one thing: YOU'RE left staring at: *#*#4636#*#*
and so was I. I was sorta hoping to find out some stuff about my battery. but looking at: *#*#4636#*#* was sorta fun too. A little boring, but fun I guess, if you're into stuff like that.
        kind of meditative I suppose

        • if i don't hit the call button nothing happens, the sequence remains on the screen, I've been looking at it now since before I logged in to reply.

Anyway from the graphic there's nothing of use except the word °Good", i don't know what good the temperature would do and anyone can tell weather it's being charged or not

Bottom line: never worked, never will, and the info seems usless, unless of course you have a battery that's "No good"

          • sorry, should say above: "...anyone can tell WHETHER, not weather, their phone is being charged. My only point is that after all the effort to get battery info using this technique and having it yet to work, it seems the information would be of little to no value anyway. I'm really looking for something more detailed than good/no good, like how good and how bad, old, many cycles, percent of original capacity, right?? I mean really.

Wait, just noticed something that could be useful: does anybody know what battery scale and battery level refer to?

        • Yes, well said. And if you want some extra excitement add a couple of symbols. Or if you are feeling a bit down take a couple away. Either way, you cannot lose.

    • Syed, now THAT DID SOMETHING!

THANKS I don't know all what is means, but at least it the screen changed to something.

One thing of interest on the new technical screen is the:
      " Level Block: 3 Blocks (0-7) "
that one seems of interest, or does it just relate to the level of charge?

  • I tried in my Lenovo s8 tab. It works but the battery health unknown. Is that means some issue with the battery? Please advice..

    • My experience is: it's not gonna work it's never gonna work, apparently it does work for some people, BUT ONLY FOR SOME PEOPLE, but it doesn' work for you and, like for me, it never will. But, the good news is, it really doesn't tell one gosh darn thing of any use, except tha the battery is "Good". But how good, that's apparently left unsolved.
Just as Erica is asking below, it'd be nice to know how good, on a scale.

Furthermore, if it did work, AND we got a "good" then what the heck is using up the battery: I spend a good lot of time checking the running apps, all of which are using 0.00% percent of the CPU btw, with an occasional but rare 0.16%. I turn them all of anyway, this seems to do nothing to extend the battery life. I think WiFi uses a lot of battery though because it ALWAYS scanning; check it out: even when you're connected to the strongest signal there is, and even if the rest are out of range, it still keep showing "scanning" every few seconds - yeah! And I've heard it's a big battery drainer in lots of other sources, so constantly turn it off when not in use.

Also: none of my iPhone user acquaintances have any of these issues, nor do they spend their day turning apps off, that's why I've bought everyone in my family and iPhone; except me, $479 fior this baby, i still want to get some mileage out of it. Besides, I like swipe...

      • Are you running a custom rom on your Android phone, this might be the reason you are unable to run this code. I have testing the code and working fine on my S3 and S5 phones.

  • Hello:
My battery health states the health is "good." Is that the maximum it can be? Or is there a step above which would be "great?" Just wanting to know if that's the best my battery health can be at. Thanks.

    • Battery Scale value shows how good is your battery.
If battery scale is 100 that means its 100% ok and each section of the battery that hold charge is working fine and capable to hold charge.
