How to Remove Built-in iOS 10 Apps

This is what we want right? One of the greatest features of iOS 10, now you can remove built-in iOS 10 apps that installed by default, if you don’t use them or don’t want them in your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch that of course will save storage as well. Now you can take control on your iPhone and iPad, you will be able to delete built-in apps like Videos, Music, Calculator, Maps etc. Don’t worry, you can download them again if you want from App store.

This feature is not announced at WWDC, this is also doesn’t in feature list of iOS 10. The users who install this beta version of iOS 10 are confirming that some apps like Camera, Photos and Messages are can’t be deleted.

User can also check how to uninstall stock iOS app from Apple official help page. The user data of app will also be removed when you remove stock app and you may also get some small issues. But some of the app data will not be removed like if you remove contact apps, your contacts will be remain in Phone App.

Remove Built-in iOS 10 Apps

To delete the stock apps from iOS 10 just press and hold the app icon from Home screen unit all the icons from the screen shacking. A small cross button will appears at top of the app icon. Tap on it and a pop-up will show you the warring message “Remove “Maps”? Removing this app from Home screen will also delete its data.” Tap on Remove and your selected app will be gone.

If wanted to get back deleted app back for some reasons in future or you accidentally removed an app then simply open App Store and search for that app and install it.
