Notifications

Finally, Apple added this feature and got the loudest cheer onstage when it got announced. You can easily take control of your notifications and gives you new ways to manage notifications to reduce the interruption throughout the day. This feature will group all the notification from one app and show as a stack, this looks really neat. You can tap on any group of notifications and expand to view all of them. Swipe-left on any notification to see more options like Manage (set to Deliver quietly or Turn Off), View or Clear.

Animoji and Memoji

This feature is only available on iPhone X and now you can create an Animojo of yourself. Make Memoji according your personality and mood and use in Message and FaceTime. There are some new Animojo added in iOS 12, there Koala, Tiger, T-Rex, and Ghost. All the Animojis are more expressive because the tongue detection feature is added to Animojis. Now, just wink or stick out your tongue to have fun. Video with Animoji time limit bumped to 30 seconds now.

Screen Time

Know more how you use and your family use the devices. Screen Time is a new feature that keep tracking the usage of your devices and show you how must time you spend using Apps, browsing websites, and more. After going through the Screen Time stats you can cut down the addition to something and make the most of how you choose to spend time on your iPhone or iPad. Using Screen Time you can also set the time limits for apps, schedule time away from the screen, block inappropriate content.

Siri Shortcuts

Siri is now more intelligent, and starts learning from your routines and suggest you accordingly. Now you can create a custom Siri Shortcuts like set a phrase to an in-app action, just say the phrase and Siri will perform the action for you.

iOS 12 Apps

Apple overhauled and update lots of built-in apps and added a new app in iOS 12 called Measure. Measure App is a new ARKit 2.0 app in iOS 12. By looking through the camera you can measure different real-world objects.

  • News and Stocks apps look pretty awesome it’s redesigned and got a new look.
