Folks at FireCore has released an update for their Seas0nPass jailbreak tool which includes support for untethered jailbreak for Apple TV 4.4.4.

Requirements:
Download iOS 4.4.4 for Apple TV2G
Download and install iTunes
Download latest Seas0nPass for Windows/Mac and extract it
Step-1
Double click Seas0nPass application, it asks to “Enable UI scripting” so do that if you are launching Seas0nPass first time
Step-2
Use Shift + click (Windows) or Option + click (Mac) buttons, click “Create IPSW” button and choose the downloaded iOS 4.4.4
Step-3
Seas0nPass starts creating custom IPSW firmware, so let it do that
Step-4
Connect your Apple TV to computer and follow on screen instructions to put your Apple TV 2G into DFU mode
Step-5
When your device will get entered into DFU mode, iTunes pop-up and starts Restore
Step-6
Done! Your iDevice is running over untethered iOS 4.4.4
