Your iPhone might get stuck on startup and you see the Apple logo or blue or red screen. If you have similar issues then this might be the iOS or iPadOS on your iPhone or iPad. You should try the following step and try to fix it.
- Using a data cable that comes with your device, connect it to your computer Mac or PC. If you are using Mac running macOS Catalina 10.15 or later then open up the Finder. If you are using a Mac running Mojave 10.14 or earlier, or a PC then open up the latest version of iTunes.
- Either you are using Finder or iTunes, select your iPhone or iPad from the interface and follow the steps:
Put your device in recovery mode, this is how the recovery mode screen looks like.
- iPad with Face ID Models:
Press and quickly release theVolume-Up
button.
Press and quickly release theVolume-Down
button.
Now, Press and hold theTop
button until the device begins to restart and keep holding the Top button until the iPad goes into recovery mode. - iPhone 8 or later models:
Press and quickly release theVolume-Up
button.
Press and quickly release theVolume-Down
button.
Press and keep holding theSide
button until you see your device is in recovery mode. - iPhone 7, 7 Plus, and iPod touch (7 gen):
Press and keep holding theTop (or Side)
and theVolume-Down

- iPad with Face ID Models:
- Once you successfully put your device in recovery mode, you will see the following screen on your Finder or iTunes screen. So, choose the Update option to reinstall the iOS or iPadOS without losing data.
- Make sure you have a good internet connection, It will download the software for your iPhone or iPad. Your device might get out of recovery mode If downloading takes more than 15 minutes. You have to repeat the step-2 and 3 to put your device in recovery mode again and update the software.
