How to Make Video Calls Using WhatsApp on Android

WhatsApp is most popular smart phones app for messaging and calling on both Android and iOS platforms. This video calling feature is currently in beta process you have to join WhatsApp beta program before install it to your Android smart devices like mobile phone or tablets. This beta version 2.16.318 that is capable of video calling is only available for Android platform at them moment and iOS users have to wait for it.

In order to install and test new video calling feature you must join beta channel of WhatsApp messenger. To do this follows the instruction below.

  • First open Google Play Store from your Android device.
  • Now search and open WhatsApp messenger download page and scroll down to find the section named Become beta tester.

  • Tap on I’M IN button and a popup window will show to confirm “Join beta program?” just tap on Join. WhatsApp will register you as beta tester.

  • Your downloading of WhatsApp beta will start, if you don’t get the update close Google Play store and re-launch it. You might see a message like “Beta signup in progress. it takes a few minutes.”
