What is svchost.exe?
The svchost.exe works as a host process for Windows operating system (Windows 7, Vista and XP) and hosts or contains other services or processes which are required by Windows to perform different functions.
In Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7) multiple svchost.exe can run at the same time and it could be possible that one instance of svchost.exe contains local or network service or services for a program and other instance of svchost.exe contains services for Windows system.
