Note: Before proceeding further make it sure that you have saved SHSH blobs on Cydia or on your computer for your A5-device over which you are going to downgrade iOS firmware.
Downgrade iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3 with Redsn0w
Requirements:
- Download latest Redsn0w for Windows/Mac
- Download iOS 5.0.1 (as you want to downgrade to this version)
- Download iOS 5.1.1
Step-1

Step 2
Attach your iDevice to computer via USB cable
Step-3
Click on “Extras” on Redsn0w window
Step-4
Click on “Even more” on Redsn0w window
Step-5
Click “Restore”
Step-6
Click on “IPSW” button and browse for iOS 5.0.1 firmware file from your system
Step-7
Select iOS 5.1.1 firmware file
Step-8
Base band update warning message will display, read that carefully and then proceed further by clicking on “Yes”
Step-9
“Entering Recovery” mode message will display, so click “OK”
Step-10
Now, you have to restore blobs either by choosing Local blobs or Remote blobs option. If you choose “Local” then navigate to “.plist” file which contains the SHSH blobs or to use Remote blobs saved on Cydia simply use the other option “Remote” and let the restore process get complete
