This will open import pictures and videos window, here you can see it showing total number of pictures and videos found in your iPhone and some other option that you can choose to transfer pictures and videos.

Select “Review, organize, and group items to import” option if you are transfer or importing images first time.

The second option “Import all new items now” is useful when you have already transferred images from the device and want to transfer only new items items from your iPhone.

Click on “More Option” link to choose folders where you want import iPhone pictures and videos. As you can see below you can set folder for Pictures, Videos, set folder and files name and some other options including “delete files form iPhone after importing”.

So set all required options and click OK and then Next button.

In this step, select all or individual items to import.

You will see all the pictures and videos are grouped by date and time. You can use “Adjust groups” slider to change the amount of time between groups and a folder will be created for each group when you import. If you want to create only one group folder then move the slider to the most right side and then click import pictures.

When you click Import button, it will take some time to transfer pictures from iPhone to PC windows 8 according to the size and number of files.

Hi, when I get to the stage when importing should be occurring, a message appears saying
“Photo acquisition has stopped working”
A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available.

Any idea what to do there?

Please try to remove SD card from your device and then try to connect with PC and transfer pictures. Also make sure your phone is not password locked, enter password and then connect try.

With Windows 8, Is it possible to get this “Import Photos and Videos” window to run automatically every time I plug in my iPhone, which is what it used to do with Windows 7…?
