How to Turn Off Facebook Notifications in Google Chrome

Social networks like Twitter and Facebook are extremely popular nowadays. These networks take constant attention. You have to sign in to your browser and have to agree if you want to receive notifications. Google chrome is a most favorite and preferred browser. So constant notifications sounds can distract or bothers you from your work. Is you don’t want to hear anything from Facebook, then follow these steps to turn off Facebook notifications.

Disable Facebook Notification in Google Chrome

Google chrome alerts you by default whenever any app, extensions or website send notifications to you. But in recent update of Google chrome and Facebook you noticed that all the Facebook notifications are on popup messages and when you click on that notification, it will redirects you to Facebook page. So follow the steps below to make silent these notifications.

  • First open Google chrome and move cursor to top-right corner and click on hamburger icon and select settings.

  • In settings click on “Show Advanced settings” at the bottom of the page.

  • Now in the privacy section open ‘Content Settings’ and scroll-down until you find ‘Notifications’ section. Here click on ‘Manage Exceptions’.

  • In Manage Exceptions find out Facebook URL and change its behavior to Block. You have successfully blocked Facebook notification from Google Chrome.
