There are lots of ways to share files between devices, all major OS like Windows, OS X, Android, and iOS. Sending files from any device required WiFi, data cable, mobile data, or Bluetooth. There is a free application available to share files between smartphones, tablets, and personal computers like PC to PC, Phone to PC, or any device to any device. SHAREit is a very popular and most downloaded mobile application from Google Play Store and this app is now available for Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone which means you can share files across multiple operating systems with just some taps or clicks.
This app doesn’t require any internet connection, you can send videos, photos, documents, music, and any other file types. There is no limit for file size and the number of files. More importantly, this app is free of cost and you can send GB’s files in just a few minutes. This app uses WiFi technology called SoftAP to create a personal network using WiFi radio, that’s why you don’t need an active internet connection or mobile data.

Note: iOS user’s receiving device must be on the same local WiFi network.
- You need to download and install SHAREit on both devices like mobile phone and computer or on which you want to share files. When you open SHAREit on your smartphone first time. First, you need to set up the nickname.
- Now send files between smartphone or PC, in my case I want to send 700MB video file to my Android device. To do this, tap on Receive button on the android screen and then tap on Connect to PC.
- When you click on Connect to PC, the app will start scanning for other SHAREit connections. When any connection is found, tap on it to connect and accept the connection request from the PC.
- Now simply drag the file to SHAREit app windows and that’s it.
