How to Update iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch to iOS 7.1 OTA or Through iTunes

Update iOS 7.1 for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is available to install with some new interface enhancement, other improvements and bug fixes. You can update your iOS device either through OTA (Over the Air) or using iTunes or clean install iOS 7.1 on iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. lets see how to update to iOS 7.1 OTA or using iTunes.

Important: If you used evasi0n7 jailbreak on your device then your device will no longer be remain jailbroken when you install iOS 7.1 update on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, because they patched the iOS exploit used in evasi0n7.

Update iOS 7.1 OTA (over-the-air)

To update your device without using data cable and connecting it to Mac or PC computer, but make sure you have sufficient battery level, storage space and your device is connected to internet because its going to take some time while updating to iOS 7.1.

To install iOS 7.1 update on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, Open Settings app on your iOS device.

Tap “General” and then “Software Update”, Now follow the on screen instructions to complete the iOS7.1 downloading and installation process.

Update to iOS 7.1 Using iTunes

In some cases OTA process is not successful then you can also update your device to iOS 7.1 if you having any problem while update through iOS feature (OTA). To update your device through iTune you must need data cable of your device.

Run iTunes and connect you device with the Mac or PC using data cable and your computer should detect the device and display in the iTunes. Once your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch displayed in the iTunes select it and click the Update button to start the iOS 7 update process and follow the onscreen instructions.
